Hospital Descriptions for Snowflake Inc.
As Snowflake Inc. builds a database to better assist healthcare providers across the nation, I was asked to write unique, 50-word descriptions for hospitals of all sizes across the U.S. Here are a few examples:
Huntington Memorial - Pasadena, CA
Just a 15-minute drive from Downtown L.A. (seriously), Huntington Memorial Hospital is located in the heart of Pasadena. The medical center was ranked by U.S. News as one of California’s 20 best hospitals, with the cancer center and surgery wings being recognized for their exceptional work.
St. Francis Hospital - Hartford, CT
Constructed in 1897, Hartford’s St. Francis Hospital is New England’s biggest Catholic hospital. In 1990, St. Francis affiliated with Mount Sinai making it the first recorded collaboration between a Catholic and Jewish hospital in the U.S. Recently, the hospital has received high honors for its work in pulmonary and replacement care.
Woodhull Medical Center - Brooklyn, NY
In the shadow of the elevated J/M subway lines, Woodhull Medical Center has served residents of Northern Brooklyn since its 1982 inception. Fun fact: it’s also home to an original 700 foot long Keith Haring mural; which the artist painted for free.
Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center - Grantsville, WV
Named after beloved local nurse Minnie Hamilton, the Minnie Hamilton Health Center has been serving West Virginia’s rural Calhoun and Gilmer counties since 1983. The hospital continues to impact the community, providing a full range of healthcare aid to the remote, mountainous region.
Landmark Hospital of Athens - Athens, GA
Located just across the road from the University of Georgia’s campus, Landmark Hospital of Athens has served the hip college town for over a decade. Specializing in long-term illness care, the hospital continues to assist the bulldog community with compassion and an eminent bedside manner.
Kettering Medical Center - Kettering, OH
Serving Dayton’s most populated suburb since 1964, Kettering Medical Center is one of the region’s most decorated institutions. In 2020, the Kettering Health Network (which includes the medical center) was awarded by Forbes and Great Places to Work as one of the nation’s top places to work—in any industry.
UPMC Williamsport - Williamsport, PA
Williamsport is best known as the birthplace of little league baseball! Every summer, the town hosts the Little League World Series and is home to the Little League Museum.
